Competition Grappling/BJJ TeamS

​The Conquest Self Defense grappling teams participate in No Gi Grappling tournaments locally and outside Washington State.
These teams have been developed for the purpose of giving all of our grappling students a chance to experience live competition and to test themselves on the mat. All training is provided for a donation or for no charge.

We believe that competition provides the atmosphere that will test the student’s heart and provide the arena where each athlete may develop, both mentally and spiritually, while cultivating an identity in Christ with a desire to bring Him glory first and foremost. We encourage our students to strive in competition, with the knowledge that God has blessed the athlete with the opportunity to compete at his or her highest level for one’s enjoyment and His glory.
 
CSD offers two grappling team opportunities. Coaches will help determine which opportunity is best for you or your child.
Gray Team is offered to all CSD registered students who are ready to experience competition. Athletes may take advantage of all workouts and practices provided in preparation for upcoming tournaments. There is no additional registration for this opportunity.

     Gray Team Competitors - 
  • May participate in all practices, offered Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekend practices.
  • Competition rash guard & shorts are provided for purchase at wholesale cost, plus tax.
  • Tournament fees are paid for by the parent/student.
  • *Hardship Aid - CSD offers hardship aid for families and students on a case-by-case need. Tournament fees will be paid by CSD and a team uniform provided at no cost, for families who request the financial hardship aid and meet additional team practice requirements (Contact rusty@conquestselfdefense.org)
     
Blue Team is offered to all CSD registered students, 13 years of age and older, with 3+ years of competitive grappling experience or compete in the advanced divisions. Members must be current, regularly attending CSD grappling students. A completed application is required for eligibility. Request an application by contacting rusty@conquestselfdefense.org.
   
     Blue Team Competitors - 
  • Team members will compete at higher level, local, regional, and national tournaments.
  • Three mandatory practices are offered each week, with an optional fourth practice provided on the weekend, all practices are provided for the cost of a donation or no-cost at all.
  • Competition rash guard & shorts are provided free of charge. 
  • Tournament fees are paid for by CSD.
  • Student must meet the Attendance, Attitude, Reliability, and Discipleship team requirements to qualify for this opportunity.
